Cassandra Falardeau

Assistant Dressage Trainer

Cassandra Falardeau is the Assistant Trainer and Barn Manager at Kelly Coyne Dressage.

As a dressage rider and trainer who focuses on building correct horsemanship and classical dressage foundations, both in and out of the saddle, she has demonstrated success in teaching young riders and starting young horses.

Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Cassandra grew up riding hunters and jumpers with some western riding thrown in for fun. As many young riders do, Cassandra had to work for her riding lessons and time in the barn. During high school, she became a working student for two different hunter and jumper barns in Southern California.

After completing a year of college, Cassandra realized she wanted to become a professional training horses and riders full-time. She relocated to Wellington, Florida to work at a farm doing everything from running around at horse shows, to exercising horses and cleaning stalls. In 2020, Cassandra moved back to North Carolina to be closer to family and began teaching riding lessons and exercising horses at a local hunter/jumper barn.

After turning professional, Cassandra fell in love with dressage after noticing how so many different horses were benefiting from it. Because of that, Cassandra began riding dressage full-time in November 2021 under Kelly Coyne.

Cassandra enjoys feeling the progress the horses make and how their personalities really shine with correct riding and training. She loves the technicalities and preciseness that goes into training a dressage horse and seeing each horse as an individual and helping them thrive in what they do best is very gratifying.

Cassandra has participated as a rider in clinics with Richard Williams, Peter Nordlander, Thorsten Kramer, Michael Poulin and Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel.
